Ok, so first order of business is some official book nominating. You should comment on this post when you reply (look at me and my blog speak!). SO let's limit the nominations to Top 4 Picks. Also, we should eventually look at what people have already read as a factor....For example, i would guess maybe half of us have read Kite Runner and therefore that might not be a good option...but we'll get there team. we will.
Ok, so nominate people! and please re-nominate even if you already send an email to the group. Let's get a book picked by the end of the day tomorrow??

I don't have a list yet, but there is one book that I really want to read. Not only was it an international best seller! I heard it was good/interesting from multiple people. It's called "Many Lives, Many Masters" by Brian L. Weiss, M.D. It's about past lives and how we all have one...he also wrote a book about soul mates. The link on Amazon is: http://www.amazon.com/Many-Lives-Masters-Prominent-Psychiatrist/dp/0671657860
OK, my list (I know I am late):
1) Another vote for ON BEAUTY
2) Another vote for WORLD IS FLAT
3) THERE IS NO ME WITHOUT YOU (devastating, beautifully written account of the AIDS epidemic in Ethiopa)
4)
MIDDLE PASSAGE
I would also like to vote for On Beauty and Thje World is Flat. I would like to add the following:
1. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer
2. Our Man in Havana, Graham Green
